FIELD: biology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for detecting traces of biological origin and can be used to search for biological traces on objects, intended for expert and special testing. This invention consists in using sources which generate exciting radiation in a wide spectral range from UV to near infrared and operating in pulse mode, as well as use of an obturator type gate with electromechanical drive providing time spacing of exposure period of exciting luminescence light and registration period of damping luminescence; by performing photographic recording of damping luminescence using full colour photodetector after complete damping of glow exciting light pulse luminescence; by performing photographic recording in the mode of accumulation of damping luminescent glow during periodically repeated cycles.
EFFECT: invention provides high quality detection traces of biological origin on the material carriers.
