FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a scintillator unit, which can be used in a X-ray detector matrix for computer tomography (CT). Scintillator unit comprises a matrix of scintillator pixels, wherein each of the scintillator pixels has a top surface, a bottom surface and side surfaces and wherein the scintillator pixels are arranged so that side surfaces of adjacent scintillator pixels face each other, and an absorbing X-rays shell containing an electrically insulating, highly absorbing X-rays material, herewith the highly absorbing X-rays material has an atomic number higher than 50; wherein the absorbing X-rays shell is arranged on the bottom surface of the scintillator pixels; the absorbing X-rays shell contains particles of the highly absorbing X-rays material, wherein the particles are included in a binding material; 90 % of the particles have a size between 1 and 50 µm; and the absorbing X-rays shell covers at least 80 % of the bottom surface of each of the scintillator pixels.

EFFECT: technical result is higher noise immunity of the scintillator unit electronic circuit.
