SUBSTANCE: one-dimensional multi-element photodetector (120), having an array of photodiodes (122), which comprises a first upper row of photodiode pixels and a second lower row of photodiode pixels, wherein the array of photodiodes (122) is part of the photodetector (120), wherein the photodetector (120) is double-sided; an array of scintillators (126), which comprises a first upper row and a second lower row of scintillator pixels, wherein the first upper row and second lower row of scintillator pixels are optically coupled to the first upper row and second lower row of photodiode pixels, respectively; a reading electronic device (124), wherein the reading electronic device (124) is part of the photodetector (120), and electrical connections (512) which interconnect the photodiode pixels and the reading electronic device (124).
EFFECT: reduced noise in signals transmitted between components of the device.
