SUBSTANCE: method of determining distances to objects includes a clock signal generation, modulation of the specified clock signal, the object is emitted with a modulated binary optical signal, a signal reflected from the object is received, calculated is correlation of the emitted and the reflected signals, calculated is the distance to the determined object as per a time delay of the reflected signal. Herewith created is at least one modulation as a pseudo-noise sequence matched with a cascade correlator. Performed is an integral accumulation of the reflected signal coming from the output of a photosensitive element. Performed is multiplexing of signals coming either from different photosensitive elements or from different pseudo-noise sequences.
EFFECT: technical result is increased dynamic range by reflected signals from objects and reduced power consumption of the device due to reduced load on computer modules.
