FIELD: communication technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technology and can be used in optical communication systems. To achieve the effect, pseudonoise optical signals are used in communication devices. The optical receiver operates in a non-linear mode and allows you to create scanners (lidars) for remote detection of metal objects in a crowd of people, in thickets, remotely detect and determine the concentration of gases in the air, create lidars operating in conditions of limited visibility for the human eye and includes an adjustment unit quantum efficiency in terms of the frequency of sensor responses and a gating adaptation signal generation unit.
EFFECT: increasing the selectivity of the resolution of the probed objects with a limited power of the probe signal and/or the duration of the probe signal.
