FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to abrasive processing and can be used in machine building, instrument-making for preliminary and final grinding of parts made from various materials. When grinding, tool used has two grinding wheels – coarse and fine, and preliminary and final processing of part is performed. First wheel is used to perform preliminary processing and is located between front support spindle of tool and fine wheel, and second is used for finishing, and is placed in front of coarse wheel. Diameters of grinding wheels are selected based on a given relationship.
EFFECT: providing simultaneous preliminary and final processing of parts without replacement of grinding wheel, and achieving low roughness and high geometrical accuracy of processed surfaces.
