FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to orthopedics, physiotherapy and aims at treating 1 and 2 degree scoliosis in children. With underlying observance of orthopedic mode with unloading of spine, therapeutic exercises, massage is exposed to low-frequency electrostatic field on his/her back in place of injured spine section. Exposure is made by manual applicator with successive reduction of frequencies: originally 180 Hz with duration of 3–6 minutes, then 70 Hz for 3–6 minutes and then 20 Hz for 3–6 minutes. Intensity of output bipolar pulse is 50 % of maximum value of generated by device voltage of 400–450 V. 4–5 procedures a week are made per therapeutic course of 10–12 procedures, there are 2 courses in whole with interval of 4–6 months. At first three procedures ratio of pulse duration of exposure to pause of 1:3 is used. On 4–5th procedures, exposure pulse ratio to pause is 1:2. At 6–12-th procedures it is 1:3.

EFFECT: method provides improved muscle tone, strengthening of muscular corset, eliminates pain syndrome, improves blood supply and trophism of muscles of trunk, as well as improves functional parameters of state of locomotor apparatus, which in its turn, promotes prevention of disease progression.
