METHOD OF TREATING DISCOGENIC SCOLIOSIS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61N1/02 A61H23/00 A61N2/04

Abstract RU 2445131 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to - physiotherapy. A method involves mechanical roll massage for 2-3 minutes followed by vibrotraction. The vibrotraction is continuous at force 10-25 kg/s. Duration of procedure is 15-30 minutes. Pulse magnetic field exposure is used 30 minutes before the roll massage and vibrotraction. That is ensured by paired pulse of duration 220±20 mcs every 20-80 ms and pulse traing 25±5 pulse/min. In acute and sub-acute patients with underlying manifested pain syndrome, the magnetic induction intensity is 70% of the maximum induction of 1300 mT. The pulse separation makes 80 ms, exposure time for each field is 6 minutes, duration of procedure is 12 minutes; the therapeutic course is 8-10 procedures. In completely or incompletely remittent patients with underlying non-manifested pain syndrome with the presence of persistent discogenic scoliosis, the magnetic induction intensity is 100% of the maximum induction of 1300 mT. The pulse separation is 20 ms, exposure time for each field is 3 minutes, duration of procedure is 6 minutes; the therapeutic course is 12-14 procedures.

EFFECT: preliminary magnetic stimulation provides interruption of pain impulsation and stimulation of regional haemodynamics of a neuromuscular apparatus that reduces length of treatment and prolongs remission, causes no developing complications.
