FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to alloys based on intermetallic compounds of titanium and aluminium with operating temperature not higher than 825 °C, products of which can be used in designing aircraft gas turbine engines and surface power plants. Disclosed are versions of alloys based on gamma titanium aluminide. Alloy based on gamma titanium aluminide contains, wt%: aluminium 30.0–35.0, vanadium 0.7–3.5, niobium 1.2–6.0, zirconium 1.2–3.5 or chrome 2.0–3.5, gadolinium 0.2–0.6, boron 0.003–0.03, titanium – balance. Alloys are characterised by high values of yield point at a temperature of 20 °C, long-term strength (over 100 hours) at a temperature of 800 °C, as well as low tendency to formation of liquation heterogeneity of chemical composition.

EFFECT: use in aircraft gas turbine engines and surface power plants.
