FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for analysing and diagnosing a large scale process automation control system having a plurality of control loops. Assessments for predefined key performance indicators (KPI) are automatically generated for control, process and signal sections of each control loop. Automatically generated assessments of pre-defined KPI may be displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI) of a computer. User may change automatically generated assessments of pre-defined KPI. Different data views may also be displayed in GUI. Data views include time series trends for measured process variable, controller output, controller set point and error, as well as representation groups parameters control device in the form of two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphs.
EFFECT: technical result is providing technical assistance to a professional on control systems for monitoring a plurality of control loops, their identification and diagnosis.
