FIELD: agriculture; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to automatic tractor control for contour plowing. Method of locating a tractor involves measuring the magnetic field intensity, comparing the measured value with the compensating one and forming a signal of trajectory disalignment as a difference of the compared values. Value of the compensating signal is generated by measuring intensity of the magnetic field in the point of required location of the tractor by parameters of the magnetic field source and the distance between the tractor and the rotary strip. Device for generating the signal of trajectory disalignment comprises an inductive converter, a track sensor, a computer and a comparator circuit. Track sensor generates for the computer a distance from the rotary strip to the current location of the tractor. Computer determines the intensity value at the required distance from the source of magnetic field.
EFFECT: technical result is improvement of accuracy of automatic driving a tractor along a required trajectory in an alternating magnetic field.
