FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of articles with insulating surfaces protecting against electrostatic hazard with earthed or scattering electrically conducting circuits, forming cellular structure, and can be used in gas, oil, petrochemical, chemical, food, grain-processing, machine building industries in occupational safety and fire-explosion safety fields. Protective cells satisfy criterial values, arising from requirements for ensuring safety when handling with media, products or facilities with known sensitivity to electrostatic exposures: electrostatic conductive discharging and static electricity discharges. Their geometrical parameters are functionally set depending on parameters, describing insulating surfaces electrostatic properties and parameters of their electrostatic charging processes. Protective efficiency by earthed or scattering electrically conducting circuits making cellular structure, also depends on which side of product wall they are placed, since in case of strong electrization of their efficiency is guaranteed only, if they are placed on side of surface, directly subjected to electrostatic charging.
EFFECT: wherein, when surface is subjected to electrostatic charging by process medium, parameters of protective cells are determined by parameters of electrostatic properties of surface bordering with process medium and subjected to action of electrostatic charging processes arising at its interaction with said medium.
