FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sleeve application device, set of core (1) and collector (28, 150) and method of sleeve (70) arrangement around product, such as container (445), in which static charges on sleeve are reducing. Film (3) is supplied along core (1), cut to produce sleeves and released on containers (445). According to invention static charge is removed from sleeve inner surface by means of static charge accumulation in collector (28, 150), mounted on core. Collector comprises electrically conductive threads (180), arranged along sleeve inner circumference.
EFFECT: afterwards charge is released, for example, using spark gap, via discharger (185, 186), mounted on frame and connected with grounding.
