FIELD: printing devices.

SUBSTANCE: device (100) is disclosed for providing a sleeve located around an elongated object (102), preferably around a conductor, closed in the circumferential direction, as a marking (101) of this object (102). Said device (100) comprises a printer (200) for issuing a printed sleeve (214) in the longitudinal direction (210) or a material interface (156) for receiving a printed sleeve (214) issued by the printer (200) in the longitudinal direction (210). Next, said device (100) contains a cutting unit (120) which is intended to cut the sleeve (214) provided with a seal at the cut point of said sleeve (214) in the transverse direction (121), preferably perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (210) specified sleeve. At least at the cut point, the upper half of the sleeve and the lower half of the sleeve, on the end side and/or on the inside, lie on top of each other or are connected to each other. Next, said device (100) contains an opening block (122) for opening the upper and lower halves of the sleeve. The opening block contains at least two opening rollers (123) rotating around the respective axis (123A). The corresponding axis (123A) of rotation runs perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (210) and the transverse direction (121). At least two opening rollers (123) are adjacent to the cut printed sleeve from the opposite sides in the transverse direction (121).

EFFECT: device for a printing system, preferably with the dimensions and portability of a desktop device, so that this system can be re-equipped in a short time for various marking on an object, preferably for various marking on a conductor, including marking with a printed sleeve, the possibility to securely open this printed sleeve.
