FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is system, drive and method for hybrid vehicle storage battery charging. Vehicle drive system comprises internal combustion engine, engine control functional unit, gearbox, electric machine, energy accumulator, which is connected to electric machine, and planetary gear. Planetary gear includes sun gear, ring gear and planetary gear drive. Engine output shaft is connected to first of said planetary gear components. Gearbox input shaft is connected to second of said planetary gear components. Electric machine rotor is connected to third of said planetary gear components. Drive system comprises control unit, which is made with possibility to receive information, relating to storage battery charge level, determine whether charge level is below, than critical level, at which energy accumulator needs charging, and if so, then to control functional control unit. Engine acquires rotation speed increased relative to rotation speed, when energy accumulator does not need charging.
EFFECT: maintaining storage battery charge during long period of movement with low speed.
