According to invention device for controlling electric device or plant includes at least one control module comprising a connector for connection of at least one input or output. Control module comprises at least one internal switching circuit, connected with said at least one input or output. Device comprises concentrator (9), containing input-output connectors for connection of inputs-outputs with control module (1, 2, 3, 38), processing means (11) for processing input-output information and communication circuit (12) for communicating data relative to inputs-outputs. Processing circuit (11) is capable of processing process or communicating state of each input-output of concentrator (9). Connector (4) of control module (1, 2, 3, 10C) and connectors (10) of concentrator (9) are standard connectors of same type. Method performs testing of such device or plant.

EFFECT: technical result is providing fast and reliable control of electric plant.
