FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to X-ray endovascular diagnostics and treatment. Selective angiography of aortic arch branches is made. As analyzed segments distal one-third of common carotid artery (CCA), proximal one-third of internal carotid artery (ICA) and head of external carotid artery (ECA) are examined in series, degree of stenosis in analyzed segment, hemodynamic significance of stenosis are measured, including degree of difficulties of blood flow in TICI classification of stenosis, displacement of “point of hemodynamic balance”. Each sign is assessed in points from 1 to 3. In combination of points 1,1,1 or 1,1,2 PPA type I is selected, which includes distal protection, providing filtering element preset on delivering microconductor; at combination of points 1,2,1 or 1,2,2 PPA type II is selected, which includes distal protection, providing filtering element which is carried out through stenosis at previously drawn microconductor or microcatheter; in combination of points 1, 3, 1 PPA type III is selected, which includes proximal protection, providing bulbous occlusion of CCA and NCA lumen; in combination of points 2,1,1, or 2,2,1, or 2,3,1, or 2,1,2, or 2,2,2, or 1,3,2, or 2,3,2 – PPA IV type is selected, which includes proximal protection, providing bulbous occlusion of CCA lumen.

EFFECT: method provides more accurate selection of brain protection system from embolism in common carotid artery bifurcation stenting, reducing length of procedure.
