SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for membrane or electrode containing (a) at least one sulphonated block-copolymer containing at least two end polymer blocks A and at least one internal polymer block B, where each block A substantially does not contain sulphonic acid or sulphonate functional groups, and each block B is a polymer block containing from about 10 to about 100 mol% sulphonic acid or sulphonate functional groups per number of monomer links in block B; and (b) dispersed carbon; wherein weight ratio of dispersed carbon (b) to sulphonated block-copolymer (a) is at least 0.01:1.
EFFECT: invention also relates to use of electrode or membrane made from said composition, in production of fuel cell, battery or device for accumulation, absorption or recovery of energy, devices for reverse or direct electrodialysis for controlling moisture content, for limited pressure direct or reverse osmosis, for electric deionisation or capacitive deionisation or for cleaning or decontamination of gases or liquids.
