SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a modified sulphonated block-copolymer, membrane, device, electro-deionisation plant, as well as to a coated article. Block-copolymer comprises at least two terminal polymer blocks A, and at least one internal polymer block B. Each block A essentially does not contain sulphonic acid or sulphonate functional groups. Each block B contains monomer links, sensitive to sulphonation, and comprises with respect to number of sulphonation-sensitive monomer links from 10 to 100 mol% of functional group of formula (I): -SO2-NR1R2 (I) or its salts, where R1 is a fragment -(A1-NRa)xRb or fragment -(A1-NRa)y-A2-Z; R2 represents a hydrogen atom, alkyl or one of fragments R1; or R1 and R2 together with a nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, form optionally substituted 5-7-member cycle, consisting of 1-3 nitrogen atoms, 2-6 carbon atoms and optionally 1 or 2 non-adjacent oxygen and/or sulphur ring atoms, x equals 0, 1, 2 or 3; y equals 1 or 2; A1 and A2 each independently denotes a linear alkylene, optionally substituted with one or more methyl and/or ethyl groups; Ra and Rb each independently denotes a hydrogen atom or alkyl; Z is -CO2H, -SO3H or -P(O)(OH)3, and where modified sulphonated block-copolymer has general configuration A-B-A, A-B-A-B-A, (A-B-A)nX, (A-B)nX, A-D-B-D-A, A-B-D-B-A, (A-D-B)nX, (A-B-D)nX or mixture thereof, where n equals a whole number from 2 to 30, and X denotes a residue of a coupling agent, and where each block D is a polymer block, resistant to sulphonation, and a plurality of blocks A, blocks B or blocks D are identical or different. Membrane is obtained based on modified sulphonated block copolymer. Said membrane is used in fuel elements; filtration devices; in following devices: to regulate moisture content, for direct electrodialysis, for reverse electrodialysis, for limited osmosis pressure, for direct osmosis, for reverse osmosis, for selective water addition, for selective removal of water, for capacitive deionisation, for molecular filtration, for removing salts from water, for treatment of industrial water, produced during hydraulic fracturing, for applications with ion transfer, for water softening and in accumulators. Electro-deionisation plant includes at least one anode, at least one cathode and one or more membranes, one of membranes is said membrane. Article comprises a substrate and a coating, containing said modified sulphonated block copolymer.
EFFECT: invention enables to produce a membrane with high efficiency of water transfer and selective transfer of ions, having good dimension stability when immersed in water and low rate of permeability of sodium chloride.
