FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of abrasion and may be used for forming of aspheric optical surfaces of large parts. The small tool is moved relative to the surface to be treated along the assessed annular zones and making it to perform plane circular motion with eccentricity around the axis of the tool spindle. Simultaneously forming of symmetrical areas of treated surface tool with two rigidly interconnected small polishing pads is performed. These polishing pads are mounted with mutual offset in a single annular zone in the plane passing through the axis of the surface to be treated. At the same time they are imposed by oscillations along the chord of the annular zone.
EFFECT: invention improves the accuracy and performance of forming the surface of optical parts.
