FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optical parts processing technology and can be used to form toric surfaces of large-sized optics. First, a spherical surface is formed on the billet of the optical part, which is rotated around an axis lying in the center at the intersection of the meridional and sagittal sections of the formed toric surface. Diamond ring rotating around its axis is used as a tool, which is set at an angle α to the surface of the workpiece and move to the center of the workpiece before contact with the treated surface. After that, a small lapping tool is used as a tool, which is reported to be a plane-parallel circular motion, and the programmed shaping of a toric surface is carried out. Small tool-lap move relative to the pre-formed spherical surface of the workpiece in the absence of its rotation and with the formation of the meridional or sagittal radius of the toric surface. Trajectory of moving a small tool passes through linear zones.
EFFECT: as a result, the accuracy of formation of toric surfaces of large-size optics increases.
