SUBSTANCE: this invention refers to cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry and constitutes a cosmetic and dermatological compositions containing at least one merocyanine derivative and/or E/E, E/Z or Z/Z geometric isomer forms thereof, and application of these merocyanine derivatives for protection against photolytic and oxidative degradation of products for body care. This invention also refers to cosmetic methods for monitoring and/or improvment of skin darkening when exposed to UV radiation and the color uniformity, control and/or improvement of skin structure, keratin materials protection against photoaging, which comprise application of the above-mentioned cosmetic composition to the skin.

EFFECT: invention allows to obtain a composition containing a specific combination of UV filters, which are specially adapted for skin photoprotection and improvement of skin quality in terms of color and mechanical properties of skin elasticity.
