SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry. The first breaker-strip ply in the heavy duty tire contains a cord extending at the inclination angle more than 45° to the tire circumferential direction, the second breaker-strip ply contains a cord extending in the tire circumferential direction, and the third breaker-strip ply contains a cord extending at the inclination angle less than 30° to the tire circumferential direction in the opposite direction from the first breaker-strip ply. The breaker-strip plies are placed so that the first breaker-strip ply is the most remote inside in the tire radial direction and is placed outside the circumferential side of the upper frame extending toroidally between the both boards, herewith the w3 width of the third breaker-strip ply is at least 80% of the w tread width, and w2<w1<w3 where w1 is the width of the first breaker-strip ply and w2 - the width of the second breaker-strip ply.
EFFECT: invention improves the tire durability.
