SUBSTANCE: pneumatic tire comprises a tread pattern including central ground-engaging grooves, shoulder ground-engaging grooves, a pair of longitudinal primary grooves having a wavy profile due to successive connection to the ends of the central ground-engaging grooves and the ends of the shoulder ground-engaging grooves and having a smaller width than the shoulder ground-engaging grooves, central blocks defined by the central ground-engaging groove and the longitudinal primary grooves, and a longitudinal secondary groove passing along the tire circumference, so as to divide the central blocks into zones. The breaker part includes two or more pairs of breakers. The ratio of the width W8 of the breaker having a smaller width in each pair of breakers and the width W7 of the breaker having a larger width is 0.75 or more and 0.90 or less. Each of the fourth and subsequent breakers from the innermost breaker in the radial direction of the tire to the outside in the tire radial direction has a width equal to or larger than the maximum width WB of the central blocks in the transverse direction of the tire.
EFFECT: improved traction characteristics and increased strength of the breaker.
