FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves acid treatment of phosphogypsum with mixed solution comprising sulfuric acid together with phosphoric acid, to form a solid phase and an acidic solution. The resulting solid phase in the form of gypsum-containing material is treated with water to form a slurry, which is separated into a solid phase, in the form of the washed gypsum-containing material, and a liquid phase which is combined with thr acidic solution of said treatment and is subjected to ion exchange filtration to obtain the residual acid filtrate. It is mixed with the washed gypsum-containing material, and serpentinite is added into the resulting mixture till the obtaining of a product in the form of a pasty mass, from which the construction material is obtained.
EFFECT: increasing the degree of extracting rare earths and radioactive elements and enabling environmental safety.
