FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: developed method can be used in construction and power system for the study of heat-conducting properties of ultrathin liquid thermal insulation coatings on the surfaces of the flat heat source. The inventive method is applied topically to the surface of a flat heat source heat isolation liquid layer of known thickness. For known values of the flat surface temperature of the heat source, the temperature of the surface portion of thermally insulated and ambient temperature, as well as thermal insulation layer thickness, is calculated by a special calculation formula according to the arrangement in space of the flat surface of the heat source fluid thermal conductivity thermal insulation.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the thermal conductivity of the liquid thermal insulation on the surface of the flat heat source.
