FIELD: aircraft engineering; electricity.

SUBSTANCE: at transmission of electric power in an aircraft containing an auxiliary power plant, main engines and end-user equipment electric power transfer is performed between components of the aircraft. Power shaft of the auxiliary power plant is connected with a group of power conversion via a power transfer box. Each conversion group comprises only one convertible electromechanical component – starter/generator and a mechanical power converter. Power transmission is carried out from each conversion group, by a direct link, on one side, mechanically with a gearbox and, on the other side, electrically with appropriate equipment. Aircraft comprises a control unit connected with a power electronic unit and controlling the conversion of starter/generator transformable electromechanical component – starter/generator during different phases: startup of the auxiliary power plant or the main engines, power absorption or steering. Another invention of the group relates to an electromechanical structure providing transmission of electric power following the above described method.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to simplify an aircraft power transmission system.
