Method of optimising operability of aircraft engine, comprising main engines 200 as main propulsion system, wherein by means of main source of power 1 class engine, all non-traction power Enp is output as propulsion installation, and during transient phases of operation of engines, at most, additional power (kEp, ktEpt) partially supplied to high-pressure stage VD of main engines margin of margin is increased on surge of main engines. Also disclosed is a main aircraft power plant.

EFFECT: invention enables to eliminate limitation of mechanical extraction in engines during transient flight phases, which enables to optimise performance of a set of engines in said phases.
