SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Invention discloses a method for determining power in a downlink physical downlink shared channel in a communication system. In said communication system, a plurality of methods is established for calculating traffic-to-pilot ratio (T2P). Mapping scheme between plurality of overhead signals and plurality of overhead to reference signal (RS) ratios ηRS, and plurality of T2P calculation methods are established. User-specific T2P ratio PB,k/PRs for certain OFDM symbols, a RS overhead ratio ηRS and a calculation method selected from plurality of T2P calculation methods are assigned to a wireless terminal. Overhead signal corresponding to assigned RS overhead ratio ηRS and assigned T2P calculation method is selected in accordance with mapping scheme and transmitted to wireless terminal.

EFFECT: invention is intended to provide efficient use of power in wireless data transmission from multiple transmitting antennae.
