FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: heidelberg retinal tomography (HRT) of optic nerve head (ONH) is performed before and after carrying out unload test. Coefficient of optic nerve head rigidity is calculated by formula: ONH RC=(dIOP/dCup Volume)/100, where ONH RC is coefficient of optic nerve head rigidity, dIOP is the difference of intraocular pressure before test and after test, dCup Volume is the difference in volume of excavation of ONH before and after test.
EFFECT: method provides determination of stereometric parameters of optic nerve head for estimation of possibility of recovering excavation volume at the background of intraocular pressure reduction and, therefore recovery of functional state of nerve fibres of optic nerve and retina, for prediction of further course of glaucoma process.
