FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.

SUBSTANCE: due to retinal tomography it is necessary to detect average depth of optic nerve's excavation both before and after creating functional loading upon ocular accommodation apparatus. Functional loading should be created due to introducing 1-2 drops cyclomed, after creating the loading in about 30-45 min it is necessary to fulfill retinal tomography. Additionally, one should determine maximal depth of excavation, the volume of excavation and the ratio of excavation area against the area of optic disk. At the increase of average depth of optic disk's excavation, maximal depth of excavation, the volume of excavation and the ratio of the area of excavation against the area of optic disk of not less than 0.03 mm, 0.03 mm, 0.037 cu. mm and 0.028, correspondingly, one should diagnose early glaucoma. The innovation enables to fulfill the registration of dynamic alterations in optic nerve's caput which appear in patients responding to functional alteration of ocular accommodation apparatus performed for the purpose of earlier diagnostics of glaucoma and, also, it enables to correct the treatment of the present category of patients.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of diagnostics.
