FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmic surgery, namely to methods of glaucoma treatment. By means of blade made are four 6-8 mm long cuts of sclera, oriented perpendicularly relative to frontal axis of eyeball in equatorial zone of scleral capsule at the distance 10-12 mm from limb in projections 10-11 o'clock, 13-14 o'clock, 16-17 o'clock, 19-20 o'clock. Anterior layers of sclera are linearly cut on 2/3 of its depth and cut edges are extended by means of forceps.
EFFECT: application of claimed method of treating glaucoma makes it possible to reduce eyeball rigidity, increase efficiency of glaucoma treatment and reduce operation cost.
