FIELD: communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication networks. Method includes the stages of: preservation by the gateway of a universal resource identifier for a session initiation protocol and/or an international identifier for a mobile subscriber of a device transmitting a short messages service message, receiving the short messages service message from the transmitting device, extraction of the universal resource identifier for the Session Initiation Protocol for a receiving device, which is a recipient of the short messages service message; request to the reference server of the receiving device subscription for the international identifier for the mobile subscriber and for routing information, delivery of the short messages service message to the receiving device.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling direct routing the SIP message to the gateway supporting the receiving device by means of a universal resource identifier for the session initiation protocol in the header.
