SUBSTANCE: vortical spray dryer consists of a drying chamber of cylindrical form with chordal placed nozzles for coolant supply, which axes are arranged tangentially to an imaginary circle, and a sprayer mounted on the axis of the chamber, at that the drying chamber is designed in form of two series-connected cylinders of different diameters, the smaller of which is 1.0…1.5 of above mentioned imaginary circle diameter. At least two slotted nozzles, located on the inner wall of a large cylinder, are provided in the dryer, wherein the nozzles are arranged in the header, connected by pipelines to the header for supplying heated gases and directed tangentially to the large circle of the cylinder at the contact point of the header to the inner wall of the large cylinder. There are two perforated gratings in the large cylinder of the dryer, between which there is the inertial nozzle. The inertial nozzle is designed in the form of cylindrical ring, on the side, inner and outer surfaces of which there is the screw thread, made in the opposite directions, or in the form of a ball, on the surface of which there are non-through holes of hemispherical shape, or in the form of a ring, on the outer surface of which the helical surface is made in the form of a plate screw, or at least in the form of a three-bladed propeller.
