FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building and concerns an icegoing vessel aft end design. Proposed is an icegoing vessel steering device with a protective frame around the rudder propeller unit formed by the stern post with an ice-cutting protrusion behind the rudder blade, connected by a vertical post with the corresponding end of the toe secured with the keel. Rudder blade turn axle is arranged on the side of the ice-cutting protrusion. Rudder blade additionally comprises a rotary nose part located in front of the main part along the ship. Vertical post is interconnected with the main part of the rudder blade by means of a hinge, the vertical rotation axis of which matches the axis of rotation of the main part of the rudder blade. Nose part turn drive consists of horizontal elements of the rudder blade parts and the vertical post. Elements of the rudder blade parts are made with the possibility of joint rotation relative to the corresponding vertical axes.
EFFECT: technical result better controllability of the icegoing vessel while ensuring reliable protection of the rudder propeller unit when moving in ice.
