FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: shipboard steering gear comprises rudder blade, which consists of the main part and Rotary part and is equipped with rotation drive of its parts. Main part is rigidly fixed on the spindle, which is installed in the vertical longitudinal plane of the ship. Rotary part is connected with the main part by means of hinge with vertical axis of rotation and is located in front of the main part along the ship. Turn drive comprises two stiff parallel rods, which are located symmetrically relative to longitudinal axis of the main part. Ends of rods are secured at stem-post in vertical plane of the spindle, which is perpendicular to ship centerline plane, and on the Rotary part of rudder blade hinge in vertical plane, perpendicular to ship centerline plane. Rods are secured to turn in horizontal plane.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of ship control.
