FIELD: physics, measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnosis of defectiveness of electric power generating equipment under tension. The method comprises measuring in equivalent conditions energy spectra of currents of control components of identical voltage inputs of the controlled and same-type reference equipment at frequencies of combined action of flicker noise, white noise and quasi-harmonic components with utility frequencies, its upper harmonics and with resonance frequencies of properly operating oscillatory circuits of the electric power generating equipment under test. The method comprises selecting flicker and white noise components in the measured spectra, determining the separation frequency ƒlk and ƒ2k of regions of dominating action of said noise components in spectra for identical k voltage inputs of the reference and controlled equipment samples, measuring in said spectra the intensity of flicker noise at analysis frequencies ƒ2k. From the comparison of the measured intensities for identical k voltage inputs in the reference and controlled equipment samples, defectiveness on separate k voltage inputs in the controlled equipment sample and full defectiveness of the controlled equipment sample are determined.
EFFECT: enabling inspection of full defectiveness of electric power generating equipment with high sensitivity and reliability of diagnosis.
