FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: controllable attenuator of ultrasonic defectoscope comprises L-shaped attenuator 1, consisting of input variable resistor 2, resistor 3 and analog switch 4 connected to calibrated controllable amplifier 5. Calibrated controllable amplifier 5 comprises controllable amplifier 6 whose outputs are connected to interface device 7, connected to control amplifier 8. Outputs of controllable amplifier 8 are connected to control and measurement device 9, which is connected to control input of amplifier 6, control input of amplifier 8, analog switch 4 and display 10.

EFFECT: improved reliability of defectoscopy of items by improved resolution of the defectoscope when determining flaws sizes and locations.
