FIELD: medical diagnostics; nondestructive tests. SUBSTANCE: acoustic (sounding) waves are received through acoustically conducting medium, their parameters are measured, two radio pulses are shaped considering parameters of received waves, acoustic radio signals are emitted once more through medium, received by instrument being verified, converter into electric pulses, their parameters are measured and compared with reference values. Reference parameters are generated by means of device that has sound conducting medium, series-connected acoustoelectric transducer, two-position switch, amplifier, pulse normalizer, radio pulse generator, adjustable attenuator, second switch, and fixed (reference) insertion-loss attenuator; radio pulse parameter meter is inserted between output of amplifier and controlled input of adjustable attenuator; one-shot multivibrator is inserted between normalizer output and controlled input of two-position switch. EFFECT: improved design, enlarged functional capabilities. 7 cl, 2 dwg
