FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to improve technological and operational characteristics of welded structures and complex parts made from thermally strengthened aluminium alloys obtained by friction welding with mixing, in particular, in making various structures for automotive industry, for example, for production of automotive wheel discs. First postwelding thermal treatment is performed to a solid solution with holding in the furnace at the temperature from 450 to 580 °C for 30–60 minutes with subsequent quenching in water. Then postwelding artificial ageing is performed within the temperature range from 160–205 °C for 1–18 hours.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain welded structures from thermally strengthened aluminium alloys with high mechanical properties and an adhesion coefficient close to the level of the main material.
