SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment used for maintenance of wells. Method and a system for automatic setting, controlling and monitoring limits on the load basis are made with the possibility of monitoring the hook load, the plant weight and combined measured values of the weight and comparing these parameters with the limiting values. If any of the hook load, the plant weight or the measured weight values increases the level bringing it beyond its limits, the system is configured able to control the well maintenance plant operation, to limit the equipment damage and a risk for operators and the service personnel. System also allows adjustment of each of both the plant weight and the actual hook load change limit over time when performing an action to support appropriate limits within the most preferable range.
EFFECT: technical result is preventing damage to the maintenance plant and a risk for workers around the well head.
