FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for calibration level alarms of horizontally-placed reservoir is proposed. It consists of definition of volume part that matches plane of spent-liquid surface, which triggers level alarm, by force of measurement of outer contours of gas-pressure loaded reservoir. This method is different in that that force, which imitates that one of impact of weight of upper filled reservoir used in real conditions, is applied to reservoir walls in direction of longitudinal axis, for example, with the aid of hydro-cylinders. Increase of calibration method accuracy is that task, for which solution this invention is intended.
EFFECT: invention is relevant to methods of definition of liquid volume (part of liquid volume) in reservoir taking into account deformation of reservoir walls under service conditions.
