SUBSTANCE: method of level indicators' calibration is proposed; it is suggested to define the part of the vessel volume corresponding to the liquid surface plane at which the indicator is actuated, the said volume is calculated by summing up the elementary volumes measured by the outer contour of the sections perpendicular to the vessel axis. Prior to the measurement it is proposed to load the vessel with inner gas pressure helping to keep the set geometric parameters and simulate the impact of the working liquid pressure when the vessel is used, the vessel axis is placed horizontally during the measurement.
EFFECT: improvement of accuracy, decrease of labour content.
