FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in the horizontal tank mounting on supports, which enable to turn about its axis within ±360°C, scanning of external surface by laser radar for measurement of external sizes of the article with density of point cloud providing the required accuracy of measuring circuit of the inner surface which dimensions are obtained by subtraction of wall thickness from outer dimensions and calculating values of volumes up to each serial plane of level control. For evaluating the effect of weight of filling medium and pressure over its surface the tests are carried out is preliminary and once for the purpose of measurement of volume of control medium under each control plane of vertically mounted fuel tank or its full-size model successively under simulated real operating conditions. Tank calibration results are completed with corrections using laser radar in accordance with a respective relationship.
EFFECT: high measurement accuracy by taking into account changes in fuel tank geometry in real missile flight conditions.
