FIELD: optics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to optical device (229) for generating light beam, wherein optical device has lens (330) with upper section (331), configured to receive light emitted by light source (220), lower section (332) to allow received light come out from lens and multiple side sections (333) extending from top section to lower section. Multiple side sections cover lens and are configured to reflect and refract received light beams. Section (334) of lens in plane perpendicular to central axis (338) extending from top section to lower section has shape of polygon, wherein polygon is oriented in longitudinal direction (335) and in transverse direction (336), which are perpendicular to each other. Besides lens is made so, that received light comes out of lens in form of light beam formed in extended form (5) at preset distance (4) from optical device.
EFFECT: disclosed optical device provides compact lens, providing desired elongated distribution of illumination.
