SUBSTANCE: rubber composition is proposed, based on at least one diene elastomer, the reinforcing filler, the plasticizing hydrocarbon resin, as well as the curing system. The reinforcing filler comprises at least carbon black having a specific surface area STAV more than or equal to 130 m2/ g. The glass transition temperature of the hydrocarbon resin is more than 20°C, and its softening temperature is less than 170°C. The filler dispersion in the elastomer matrix has a Z index equal to or more than 70.
EFFECT: good workability of the rubber composition without deterioration of limit properties under tension.
