WORKING ELECTRODE PRINTED ON SUBSTRATE Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC G01N27/30

Abstract RU 2612954 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for analysis of electrochemical solutions. Electrode for electrochemical cell comprises substrate (1), electrode (2), conducting track (4) and recess (3), wherein substrate extends over a first thickness, between a first face and a second face, wherein electrode is printed on first face, wherein conducting track is printed on second face, wherein substrate is electrically insulated, wherein electrode is conductive to electricity essentially through graphite particles, wherein conducting track is conductive to electricity and contains particles of silver, wherein recess is conductive to electricity and is made of an ink which comprises a binary mixture of graphite and silver in proportions where quantity of silver divided by sum of quantities of graphite and silver present in binary mixture is comprised within an interval from 0 to 1, wherein recess extends within substrate from first face to the second face, wherein recess is in electrical contact with electrode at level of a first junction located on first face, wherein recess is in electrical contact with conducting track at level of a second junction located on second face, and wherein linear density of silver particles in recess at level of first junction, perpendicularly to current lines, when a current passes through first junction, is lower than linear density of silver particles in conducting track at level of second junction, perpendicularly to current lines when a current passes through second junction. By using such binary mixture of carbon and silver in recess (3), silver contamination in electrochemical cells using silver tracks is reduced.

EFFECT: disclosed is a working electrode, printed on a substrate.
