SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used to determine the presence of STEAP-1 protein in a biological sample obtained from an individual suspected of having metastatic prostate cancer. For this purpose, the biological sample is exposed to a 89zirconium labeled antibodiy against STEAP-1 and binding of 89zirconium labeled antibody against STEAP-1 to protein is measured in the biological sample. At that, binding of the 89zirconium labeled antibody against STEAP-1 to protein is indicative of STEAP-1 protein presence in the sample. The 89zirconium labeled antibody against STEAP-1 comprises a heavy chain variable region comprising a hypervariable region CDR-H1, containing GYSITSDYAWN, CDR-H2, containing GYISNSGSTSYNPSLKS, and CDR-H3, containing ERNYDYDDYYYAMDY; and the light chain variable region comprising CDR-L1, containing KSSQSLLYRSNQKNYLA, CDR-L2, containingWASTRES, and CDR-L3, containing QQYYNYPRT, and the 89zirconium labeled antibody againstSTEAP-1 is 89zirconium desferroxamine (Df) STEAP-1 antibody.

EFFECT: invention allows determination of STEAP-1 protein presence of in the biological sample obtained from an individual with metastatic prostate cancer.
