FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for nondestructive inspection of thermo-deformation treatment of semi-finished products from two-phase titanium alloys for overheating. Essence of invention lies in that it comprises selecting a control point and plotting a calibration curve for each type of semi-finished products, obtaining a diffraction spectrum by x-ray photography and processing results for each inspected semi-product, wherein control point selected is a portion of surface deformed during last thermo-deformation treatment, said portion having predominant material flow parallel to surface with deformation degree of not less than 10 % and not more than 50 % with a remote gas-saturated layer, calibration curve used is relationship of ratio of intensities of diffraction lines of α-phase L1=(101) or L1=(110) and L2=(002) to temperature T (T is difference of temperature of full polymorphous transformation (Tpp) and heating temperature for deformation (Tn)), and overheating temperature using given technology is determined from value of ratio of intensities of diffraction lines L1 and L2 above calibration curve for upper limit of heating temperature range.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of nondestructive rapid inspection of thermo-deformation treatment of semi-finished products from two-phase titanium alloys for overheating.
