FIELD: polygraphy.
SUBSTANCE: printing device comprises a transportation control unit, which controls transportation of sheets for printing so, that the trailing edge of the previous sheet as a sheet for printing earlier supplied from a unit of laying into a pile and the front edge of the next sheet as a sheet for printing further supplied from the unit of laying into a pile overlap each other; and a distortion correction unit, which corrects a distortion of the next sheet, when the next sheet overlaps the previous sheet, using the transportation control unit. Distortion correction unit makes the front edge of the next sheet thrust against a transporting roller for a time period since the end of the last row supply by the transporting roller for printing on the previous sheet by a printing unit till the next transportation start.
EFFECT: proposed is a printing device.
